To mark the start of the 2023 hurricane season, Second Harvest Food Bank Volunteers will be packing 1,000 Disaster-Relief Boxes for Hurricane Season
in partnership with Feeding America and global healthcare company, Abbott, which provides Pedialyte, Ensure, and Zone Energy Bars. The Abbott disaster relief packs are designed to be given directly to families in need across Louisiana who may be affected by hurricanes, severe weather events, or other natural or man-made disasters and emergencies.
Each relief pack can meet an individual's or family's immediate nutritional needs for three days. The disaster relief packs do not require warming or refrigeration.
