Please encourage them to try their best, but to stay calm and not feel stressed or anxious about the testing.  The results help us to identify academic strengths and weaknesses, track our students progress over time, identify students that may qualify for Honor's Math, as well as apply for program's and awards such as becoming a Blue Ribbon School.

Parent Reminders
Thank you for helping to keep Fairhill free from traffic in the morning while buses are trying to drop off students. We have seen a decrease in the amount of traffic and look forward to seeing it continue to decrease.

During morning car drop off in the back parking lot, please remember that we must keep the drop off line flowing and moving.  It is very important for the driver and other family members to stay in the vehicle and allow the students to get out themselves. If you need to help them get belongings or feel as if you must get out with them, please back into a parking space, park your car, and let them out that way.

We recently started looking at improving afternoon car line.  If you have picked up this week you may have seen it done a little different on one or two days.  As a staff, we will be discussing ways to make it safer and more efficient.  We will continue to do it the way we have been doing it, but if a change is made we will be sure to inform you of any new procedures. Currently, we have two lines of cars.  The first two cars stop and students get in the car.  Once students get in and are safe, those cars pull away and the next two pull up.  The process continues until all students are gone.  Please make sure that you follow the directions of the teachers on duty.  It is important that students do not walk in between cars, parents stay in their vehicles, and that teachers help to guide students and keep them safe.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with these very important procedures.

The administration has started the process of planning for the 2017-2018 school year.  We look forward to sharing the results of the survey, plans for continuous improvement, and school calendar as soon as they are complete.

Our Easter basket collection for The Breathing Room has begun.  An email with the sign-up links was sent by email separately today.  It will also be posted on our FB page. Please send in all items to your child's homeroom byMarch 24th.

Thank you so much for supporting our Home and School Hot Lunch Program. This year the H&S Board made a significant change and automated the process of ordering with CheddarUp.  It has been a huge success and we would like to continue to improve the process.  Starting in April, we will only accept credit card and electronic check payments.  To offset this change, H&S will be absorbing the fees charged by CheddarUp instead of passing them onto you.   We value your support and hope that you will continue to take advantage of this service we provide for your children. Principal Newsletter March 3rd

Let us remember the words that Pope Francis has shared with us about our Lenten Journey.  Pope Francis reminded the faithful that they should heed the Scriptures and treat each human person they encounter as a gift.  "Lent is the favorable season for renewing our encounter with Christ, living in his word, in the sacraments and in our neighbor," he said. "May the Holy Spirit lead us on a true journey of conversion, so that we can rediscover the gift of God's word, be purified of the sin that blinds us, and serve Christ present in our brothers and sisters in need."

Congratulations to our students that were recognized today for displaying the virtue of "LOVE" throughout the month of February.

Sharing the CBS news link for anybody that was not able to view it on Monday.  This is from our Jr. Flower Show participation.  Thank you Mrs. Heinz for taking on this project for our school and thank you to every teacher, student, class, and parent that helped make this so successful.
